The project aimed to prepare the SIGMA Monitoring Assessment, Kosovo- Public Finance Chapterer. REX Consulting Group, represented by Valmira Rexhëbeqaj was assigned as national expert during the 2021 assessment of Kosovo in the area of: public finance management, including public procurement.
The qualitative mapping exercise took place over a nine months period and utilized various data collection techniques, specifically surveys and in-depth interviews with business representatives and other stakeholders including civil society and academia, from five sectors (1.ICT, 2. Creative industry, 3. Wood processing, 4. Food processing and 5. Green energy).
Following successful finalization of the Qualitative Mapping Assessment for the Smart Specialization Strategy, REX Consulting Group was contracted for implementation of the second phase of the process: Entrepreneur Discovery Process (EDP)
The project aimed to design and undertake outcome-focused customer service training to advance TAK staff communications capacities and guarantee a solid and satisfactory experience for each taxpayer. As part of the project, two rounds with 200 face-to-face interviews in seven TAK regional centers were conducted. The project was implemented in consortia with the Business Development Group (BDG). REX Consulting Group was tasked with conducting the pre and post-baseline evaluation of the customer service training modules.
REX Consulting was tasked with conducting research on the causes that hinder women-owned businesses from accessing the formal economy and the impact of the pandemic. The project consisted of:
1) 45 in-depth interviews with women in business including young women across Kosovo of targeted sectors (agriculture, textile and food processing),
2) Focus group with women of targeted sectors (agriculture, textile and food processing),
3) Desk research analysis from official statistical data.
In cooperation with Melita&Partners and Venture Up, the program targeted young women entrepreneurs, who are already in action in the business sector, whether emerging or established, seeking targeted, one-on-one advice to help build successful businesses. Mentoring Walk recognised that young women who have succeeded in the business are in the unique position to guide and facilitate others to navigate through similar obstacles in their career paths successfully. The project consisted of two phases, both focused on enhancing the skills of young/emerging women entrepreneurs through sharing their skills and knowledge.
Vital Voices, Mentoring Walk – “Mentorimi për vajzat sipërmarrëse” (2022)
The main research objective was to map the fundraising market potential, including characteristics, performance and infrastructure of donor support, for SOS Children’s Villages leadership giving income sources. Research methodology is based on two qualitative surveys with the donor fundraising stakeholders, specifically big companies, SMEs, HNWIs, foundations and NGOs (targeted sample). Methodology of research involves data collection by interviewing the afore-mentioned stakeholders, the total number of which amounts to 51 in-depth interviews.
The research study will analyze the situation of the rural tourism in the municipalities of Ferizaj, (Jezerc), Prizren (Zym- Has) and Rahovec, in order to deliver a comprehensive baseline assessment report, highlighting on the potential modifications of the indicators for the “Fostering Employment and Growth Opportunities” project, based on the qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary data analysis. The study is focused on rural opportunities for youth and women.
